SAN MARINO AT THE AVANT-GARDE IN PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS IN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF PREGNANCY

In the presence of the Ministry of Health, of the General Director of the ISS, of the Chief of UOC of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the State Hospital of the Republic of San Marino and of the President of AOGOI (Italian Association of Obstetricians and Gynecology) was presented the first (and so far the only) ambitious project to offer free of charge to all pregnant women, the combination of screening tests for trisomies and for pre-eclampsia so far recognized by the various Scientific Societies. San Marino, the oldest Republic in the world, has decided to invest heavily in preventing the health of its future population. A really great project thinking about the difficulty of other neighboring states in creating such a model.
